Local Climate Literacy Workshops

The Challenge: Local communities lack access to localized, science-backed climate projections that connect directly to their daily economic and property decisions, resulting in learned helplessness and civic disengagement.

The Solution: Designed a strategic blueprint for a hyper-local series of workshops for communities and municipalities that translates systemic climate risks into adaptive, neighborhood-scale design solutions and community action.

The research uncovered a massive behavior gap: while citizens are mostly aware of global warming, they lack contextualized guidance on modifying their properties, planning for regional infrastructure shifts, and navigating immediate market changes in local real estate or insurance, emergency preparedness and updated climate realities.
